A year ago, a friend told me about this DNA website called 23andme All you have to do is spit in this vial and mail it off to get your DNA results. Of course if you live in New York state there are restrictions about mailing DNA materials ~ so that spawned an impromptu road-trip to Vermont to mail off my sample. The results came in, as promised, within a month's time. I gifted my Dad with a 23andMe membership so that I could add his DNA to mine and voila ~ I've got DNA from my Mother and Father! How interesting how similar they are if you take in the fact that my parents met in Austin, TEXAS!
